Cycling around the neighborhood with Magdi

Bike tour, community, and history – "Ride into the Green" awaits you on September 6!

As part of the 'Ride into the Green!' tour series, this community bike ride aims to bring people closer to the joy of cycling while showcasing the natural and historical treasures of the region. The tour is held in honor of Mária Magdolna Bódi, who became a symbol of heroism in 1945 through her courageous actions in Litér.

The tour route: Veszprém–Szentkirályszabadja–Litér–Szentkirályszabadja–Veszprém. The total distance is 25 km, with an easy difficulty level, following paved roads and is suitable for all types of bicycles. The program starts at 9:00 AM and ends at 2:00 PM. Departure and arrival point: Bódi Mária Magdolna Air-Raid Shelter, 4 Tobak Street, Veszprém.

During the tour, participants will visit Litér, where they can pay homage at the grave and memorial plaque of Mária Magdolna Bódi. At the end of the program, between 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM, the shelter’s tunnel system will be open to visitors as part of an open day, featuring presentations and historical displays.

Participation is free of charge but requires registration, which is open until 10:00 PM, September 4, 2025.
