The venerable servant of God, Mária Magdolna Bódi, will be beatified on September 6 in Veszprém!

Mária Magdolna Bódi, a martyr who lived her faith, will be beatified on September 6, 2025, in Veszprém, at the ONE Veszprém Arena. The ceremony will be led by Bishop Péter Erdő, Archbishop of Esztergom-Budapest, representing Pope Leo XIV. The event is not only significant from a religious perspective, but also from a social and cultural point of view. Thousands of pilgrims are expected to attend the event, including families, young people, church and civil communities.

The programs include, among others:

  • September 5 (Friday):

    • Thistles and Lilies – Magdolna's Flowers – interactive exhibition
    • Youth meeting, prayer, praise, testimonies
  • September 6 (Saturday):

    • 11:00 a.m. – Beatification Mass
    • Accompanying programs: testimonies, singing lessons, short films, public discussions
    • Bicycle parade among the pilgrims
  • September 7 (Sunday):

    • Thanksgiving Mass
    • Soundscape: From Magdi on Lake Balaton – informal conversation with a surprise guest on board the Szent Miklós ship
    • Sealing of relics

Advance registration is required for the programs, which are divided into separate sections: civil, church, educational, youth, volunteers, and protocol participants.
