Introduction

Uzsa is one of the smallest villages in Veszprém County, yet it boasts a rich historical background. Located along the Lesence Stream, it offers natural wonders like peat moss and sundew, alongside medieval relics, ruins of a Pauline monastery, and ongoing community developments. The village has a vibrant cultural life, with sports and communal spaces continuously evolving.

Location & Accessibility

Uzsa lies along Route 84, with a short access road leading to the village center. It can be reached by train on the Balatonszentgyörgy–Tapolca–Ukk line, with two stops: Uzsa and Uzsabánya alsó. While the former mainly serves the quarry, the latter is closer to the residential area. Nearby towns—Tapolca and Sümeg—are just a 10–15 minute drive away, and the village is also accessible by several bus routes.
