Alsóörs Municipal Beach

Situated on the northern shore of Lake Balaton, Alsóörs Municipal Beach is one of the most popular bathing spots, having won the title of “Most Popular Balaton Resort” several times. The beautifully landscaped and well-maintained beach offers a family-friendly environment where visitors can relax on an aesthetically pleasing stretch of shore surrounded by shady trees. The water is safe and gradually deepens, making it an ideal choice for families with young children.

A wide range of services are available, including a playground, safe deposit boxes, cabin rental, sports facilities and catering units. The beach also caters for the local community, offering discounted passes to permanent residents and free admission to visually and physically impaired visitors.

The beach is located in Alsóörs at Strand sétány 3, easily accessible from the main road (71) and situated directly on the shore of Lake Balaton. There is a large, free car park with space for around 500 cars and 100 bicycles in front of the entrance.

The beach can also be reached on foot from the town centre. If you are arriving by long-distance bus, travel to Alsóörs bus station. Cross the level crossing and you will find the beach entrance on the road.

The facility is fully accessible, making it easy for guests with limited mobility to use.
