Introduction
The Arácsi Community Center and Exhibition Hall is the cultural center of the Arács district of Balatonfüred, which has a rich historical past and plays an important role in the community. The building was constructed in 1914 based on the plans of Aladár Keszler, and over the decades it has served many different functions: during World War I, it operated as a military hospital, and later it housed a school, a doctor's office, a library, and a shop.
Following its renovation in 2010, the building regained its original purpose and now serves as a true community space for locals and visitors alike. Permanent and temporary exhibitions, art and music programs, a branch library, and events organized by local art groups add color to the offerings.
Permanent exhibitions at the Arácsi Népház:
- Hunting trophies and mineral exhibition
- Postal history exhibition
- Ferenc Schneider's hunting trophy collection
- Mineral and rock exhibition From the collections of Ferenc Schneider, Árpád Kutas and Dr. Tibor Cserny
