Several plot threads intertwine in this provocative, ballad-like story, which takes place in the middle of nowhere on the craziest day of the century. The fates of our heroes, followed from dawn until late evening, are loosely intertwined, yet from these fragments, a surreal, a world reminiscent of Chagall’s paintings. András Salamon’s film blends fairy-tale-like, emotional elements with frighteningly dark, apocalyptic motifs.
