Between 2:00 and 3:00 p.m. „My father was a kulak” Thematic guided tour of the exhibition "Man Behind Bars" – led by Márkusné Hajnalka Vörös and Dr. Judit Tóth, historian and archivist.
3:00-4:00 p.m. Film screening at the Ruttner Café – BAKONYI JUHÁSZASSZONY. "They wiped out a valuable generation," said Kabay Barna, recalling that the families branded as traitors bore the burden for decades, as they were denied admission to schools, when filling out job applications, and when applying for passports. The documentary follows the life of an elderly shepherdess from Szentgál, who is deeply connected to nature, her moral values, and the human richness associated with the land and animals.
4:00-5:00 p.m. Discussion and book presentation – Dr. Judit Tóth, historian and archivist, author of the book KULÁKBÁNAT - The historian, who deals with the agricultural and social history of the Rákosi era, undertook to describe the fate of Hungarian farmers during the Rákosi era through the caricatures of Ludas Matyi. How could the tools of caricature be used to the fullest extent possible within the given framework to make the sometimes dry facts and facts in an attention-grabbing way? From today's perspective, it is difficult to understand and accept how and why anti-communist caricatures, which were produced in the millions, came into being. Contemporary propaganda blamed the landowners for immeasurable losses: the loss of land, the abandonment of independent farming, and the genuine grief of the large landowners.
