Maria Ángeles, an elderly Spanish woman, lives in Tangier, Morocco. Her house is not only her home but also a reflection of her entire life, filled with beautiful memories. Calle Málaga is the first Spanish-language film by Maryam Touzani, a Moroccan director recognized with numerous international awards. “Sweet and tender,” wrote Variety, “lighthearted and captivating” —wrote The Wrap, and most reviews highlighted the deeply felt, her sensitive portrayal.

It made its debut at the 2025 Venice Film Festival, where it won the Audience Award in the Venezia Spotlight section. Since then, it has received awards at numerous other international festivals. (Cirko Film)
