Salföld Manor

Salföld Manor is located in the heart of the Kál Basin, within Balaton Uplands National Park, where visitors can get up close and personal with traditional Hungarian domestic animals — racka sheep, mangalica pigs, grey cattle, buffalo, poultry, sheepdogs, and the gidran horse with its unique history.

It operates as a manor entertainment center:

• A petting zoo, pony riding, and horse-drawn carriage rides await kids and adults alike, as does the nearby 13th-century Pauline monastery ruins.
• The constantly renewed spice and herb garden offers the opportunity to see, smell, touch, and taste, introducing visitors to the effects and uses of these "miracle plants." and their effects and uses.
• The exhibitions in the Racka Room all feature photographic artworks, interesting animal facts, and old tools, such as special macro photographs of butterfly wings, revealing the hidden beauty of nature.
• Kids are attracted by the playground, while adults are drawn to the publications, gift items, local specialties, such as buffalo salami, which await them in the reception area.
