7th Balaton Winter Bike Tour

Join a winter cycling adventure! 80 km, a ferry ride, and a lively atmosphere await you!

🚴 The 7th Balaton Winter Bike Tour shows the winter side of Lake Balaton! On February 21, determined cyclists will set off on an 80 km adventure around the eastern basin, in snow, frost and wind - a real challenge and a special experience.

❄️ The tour is not a competition, but a pleasant, communal cycling day, where the beauty of Lake Balaton in winter and good company are guaranteed.

📍 Location: Balaton Leisure and Conference Center, Balatonfüred

🕗 Program:

➡️ 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. – Race number pickup

➡️ 9:00 a.m. – Start of the tour

➡️ 9:45 a.m. – Ferry departure from Tihany

➡️ 4:00 p.m. – Costume contest

➡️ 4:30 p.m. – Raffle draw

📏 Distance: 80 km, Eastern Balaton basin small circle, elevation difference: approx. 300 m, time limit: 7 hours (arrive until 4:00 p.m.)

🗺 Route: Balatonfüred – Tihany (ferry) – Szántód – Zamárdi – Siófok – Balatonaliga – Balatonakarattya – Balatonkenese – Balatonfűzfő – Balatonalmádi – Alsóörs – Csopak – Balatonfüred

🛑 Stops:

✅ Siófok (25 km) – tea, lard bread

✅ Balatonvilágos (37 km) – refreshments

✅ Balatonkenese (47 km) – refreshments

✅ Alsóörs (68 km) – refreshments

🏁 Finish: Balatonfüred (78 km) – finish line, hot tea, mulled wine

🎟️ Registration: 13,000 HUF/person (+2,000 HUF for a serving of goulash soup at the finish line - optional), payment method: bank transfer

💰 Registration fee includes:

✔️ Ferry ticket for the Tihany-Sántód crossing

🚨 Important conditions:

⚠️ Helmet and bicycle lights are mandatory

⚠️ Appropriate winter clothing and a prepared bicycle are required

⚠️ Departure at your own risk, compliance with traffic regulations

⚠️ Maximum number of participants: 400, pre-registration only

⚠️ In case of extreme weather conditions, the event may be postponed (February 28).
